Before Wood Ridge became a community, our land was heavily wooded with inhabitants of a wilder variety. Deer, turkey, bear, and elk roamed the land we now call home. In fact, the Silver Bullet Herd, as the elk became known, used our neighborhood for grazing and their home. You can still see the herd grazing in the fields across from the entry to our community off of Highway 206.
Wood Ridge became a community in 2001 when Roger Fricke began development.
Today, we have 51 lots in the peaceful, wooded, paradise we call home. The wild life continues to cohabitate with us and adds to the nature-inspired serenity of our community. Columbia Falls has been ranked as one of the best and safest places to live in Montana (1,2,3) and Wood Ridge most certainly represents one of the premier communities with a Columbia Falls address.

Our mission is to preserve the wild, nature-inspired feel of our community while maintaining quality of life and sense of community through effective and efficient management of the Association. Through the Association, we will take steps to preserve property values, promote a sense of community, and work to maintain a serene and peaceful environment for the good of the community.
We envision a community that offers a peaceful lifestyle and quality of life, and is a desirable place in which to live and enjoy the
benefits of family, friends, and nature.
In all our activities to achieve our vision and mission we value integrity, fairness, common sense, community participation, respect, cooperation, and sense of community.
